Rayana D. Briggs headshot in orange

Rayana D. Briggs is a multi-disciplinary performing artist whose work moves fluidly between musical theatre, film and television, and arts education. A mezzo-soprano with a foundation in classical training and a heart for storytelling, she brings the same warmth and precision to a leading role that she brings to a room full of young artists.

Onstage, her credits range from the title role in Aida at Trustus Theatre, where she was a company member, to her upcoming role of Lead Shirelle/Shirley in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. On screen, she has worked across streaming productions for BET+, Peacock, Amazon Prime, and Tubi, with production experience behind the camera on major film and television sets in Atlanta.

As a teaching artist with the Alliance Theatre and creator of the original curriculum Road to Representation, Rayana believes every young person deserves to see a path into the arts — and a guide who has walked it.
